Wayne Blanchard began his financial career in 1972 by taking an officer trainee job with a bank in Pensacola, FL. After some initial training he became an 'assistant cashier'.....the bank officer equivalent to a military 2nd lieutenant!! At that point, the job title was far more impressive than the actual duties or knowledge. Time and experience helped, and he became an "Assistant Vice President" and then finally a "Vice President" of that same bank. He was responsible for lending, human resources, teller operations, branching, and credit card operations at various time during his banking career.
In 1984, he decided a regular salary was too much to handle, so he left banking and went into business as a financial planner. There is nothing like going into business for yourself after a long period with a salary to find out what you are REALLY worth! Its a bit like out of the frying pan and into the fire.
In 1986 he became a Certified Financial Planner. In 1987, along with Donna Jordan, Dale Jordan, and Ernie Commins, he founded Money Professionals. Since that time Dale, Ernie and Donna have left MPG and Wayne is the remaining partner. Tom Wuchte joined the company in 2001 and became a partner in 2005.
During the next few years after founding the firm, the partners taught classes for Pensacola Junior College and Okaloosa-Walton Community College in all areas of financial planning. It is estimated that over 4,000 people attended these classes.
Each person that attended these classes was entitled to a personal review of their financial affairs. What he learned in these reviews both about what works in peoples financial lives and how clients would like to work with advisors, has been the foundation for the services the firm offers today.
In 1996, he moved the office to Melbourne, FL and is now accepting new clients from the entire state of Florida.
